Fulfill the following tasks in order to login to Arda Grid with you PC...

Task 1: Download the Arda Grid Configuraion program to your computer at http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1857264/Arda%20Grid%20Configurator.exe

Task 2: Register a new avatar with Arda Grid by creating a new first name, new last name and password.  This can be done at http://66.240.205.6/gridworx/register/registeruser.aspx

Task 3: Type in you're new avatar's first and last name, then fill in your password and login to Arda Grid.

How to login to Arda Grid with the Greenlife Emerald Viewer

Task 1: Make sure you have Greenlife Emerald Viewer downloaded to your computer.

Task 2: Find the emerald viewer icon/shortcut on your computer.

Task 3: Make a copy of the emerald icon/shortcut.

Task 4: Paste the new copy of the emerald icon/shortcut on your computer.

Task 5: Rename the new emerald icon/shortcut Arda Grid.

Task 6: Right click over the Arda Grid (emerald icon/shortcut) and click properties.

Task 7: Find the Shortcut tab in the properties  (usually the middle tab, in between General tab and compatibility tab).

Task 8: Locate the target field in the shortcut tab, almost always the top or first field near the top.

Task 9: Erase the target field (all of it).

Task 10: Paste the below in the target field, then click apply and ok.

Task 11: Register a new avatar with Arda Grid by creating a new first name, new last name and password.  This can be done at http://66.240.205.6/gridworx/register/registeruser.aspx

Task 12: Type in you're new avatar's first and last name, then fill in your password and login to Arda Grid.

How to login to Arda Grid with the Greenlife Emerald Viewer

Task 1: Make sure you have Greenlife Emerald Viewer downloaded to your computer.

After the download is done or if you already have Emerald …minimize your screen so you can see your desktop:

Task 2: Find the emerald viewer icon/shortcut on your computer desktop.

Task 3: Make a copy of the emerald icon/shortcut.

Task 4: Paste the new copy of the emerald icon/shortcut on your computer desktop far enough away so you do not confuse the two icons till you are done changing the name on one.

Task 5: Rename the new emerald icon: shortcut Arda Grid.

Task 6: Right click over the new Arda Grid (emerald icon/shortcut) and click properties.

Task 7: Find the Shortcut tab in the properties  (usually the middle tab, in between General tab and compatibility tab).

Task 8: Locate the target field in the shortcut tab, almost always the top or first field near the top.

Task 9: Erase the target field (all of it make sure you use the arrow keys to make sure everything in the box is deleted)

Task 10: Copy and Paste the entire string of information below into the target field, then click apply and ok.

Then open the Arda Grid page you had minimized and:

Task 12: Type in your new avatar's first and last name, then fill in your password and login to Arda Grid.

HIPPO VIEWER FOR MAC SET UP FOR ARDA GRID

Task 1: Download the Hippo Viewer program at  http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/51818/HippoOpensim-5.1.dmg

Task 2: Install the Hippo Viewer program onto your computer.

Task 3: After Installation of the Hippo Viewer Program open the viewer. 

Task 4: After the viewer has opened look next to the login button and notice a button called "grids", click this "grids"

button.

Task 5: At the top of the screen notice a button called "add", click this "add" button.

Task 6: Look for a field on the screen called LoginURI, in the LoginURI field type http://66.240.205.6:8002/

Task 7: Below the LoginURI field notice a button called "get grid info", click this "get grid info" button.

Task 8: At the bottom of the window notice a button called "apply", click this "apply" button.

Task 9: At the top of the window notice a button called "default", click this "default" button.

Task 10: At the bottom of the window notice a button called "ok", click this "ok" button.

Task 11: Register a new avatar with Arda Grid by creating a new first name, new last name and password.

Task 12: Type in you're new avatar's first and last name, then fill in your password and login to Arda Grid.

GREENLIFE/EMERALD VIEWER FOR MAC SET UP FOR ARDA GRID

How to set up Emerald (latest update is for some reason not called GreenLife) for Arda Grid:

Task 1: Task 1: Make sure you have Greenlife Emerald Viewer downloaded to your computer.

Task 2: Make a copy/duplicate of Emerald Application file (in the Appliactions folder) and re-name it Emerald Arda,

(or what ever you wish).

- Finder > Window > Applications > Emerald > CMD+D

- Rename the copy of the Emerald application

Task 3: Control-click/mouse then right click on the Arda Emerald .app package file and select “Show Package

Contents” from the list.

Task 4: Look in the “Contents” folder, then look within the “Resources” folder to find the “arguments.txt” file.

Task 5: Double click the “arguments.txt” file to open the "arguments.txt" file then delete everything in the

"arguments.txt" file.

Task 6: Just copy and paste the following text to replace what is currently in the file (Note that this is all one line):

--channel "Emerald Viewer" --settings settings_emeraldviewer.xml -set SystemLanguage en-us -multiple -loginuri http://66.240.205.6:8002/

Task 7: Save the file.

Task 8: Register a new avatar with Arda Grid by creating a new first name, new last name and password.

Task 9: Close all the windows and double click on the Arda Emerald application.

Task 10: Type in you're new avatar's first and last name, then fill in your password and login to Arda Grid.
